Dr. Vitek received a Bachelor’s Degree in Science from Pennsylvania State University in 1991. She earned her Doctor Of Optometry degree from The Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1995. After graduating from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, she entered private practice in suburban Philadelphia.
In 2000 Dr. Vitek joined the teaching staff of The Pennsylvania College of Optometry, assuming several roles, including teaching in didactic courses in the basic science and clinical science curricula of the optometry program. In addition to classroom and laboratory teaching, Dr. Vitek provides clinical education to optometric interns in her role as a clinical provider in The Eye Institute.
Dr. Vitek has participated as an instructor in post-graduate continuing education course to U.S. and foreign eye care providers.
