Since entering private practice in 2006, Dr. Greene has been managing vitreoretinal diseases in several offices and institutions around Southeastern Pennsylvania. He has extensive experience in the medical and surgical management of retinal diseases, including diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal vascular diseases, retinal tears, and retinal detachments. He frequently attends various retinal and ophthalmic meetings around the country so that his patients can have early access to the latest advances, procedures, and therapies. When he is not covering his private practice, Dr. Greene spends a great deal of time shaping the future of eyecare by teaching at two local universities.
Dr. Greene and his partner co-manage the surgical instruction of the Penn fellows as part of the Vitreoretinal Fellowship at the Scheie Eye Institute, Department of Ophthalmology, University of Pennsylvania. When he is not teaching the Penn retinal fellows to operate, Dr. Greene and his partner teach a semester-long retinal course at Salus University, formerly the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Dr. Greene also runs a retinal clinic twice a month with students and residents at Salus University.
While not teaching or seeing his own patients, Dr. Greene serves as Chairman of Ophthalmology at Nazareth Hospital, Philadelphia, PA.
Dr. Greene lives with his wife, two children, and two goldendoodles in the suburbs of Philadelphia. When he is not working, Dr. Greene enjoys running, reading, writing, and radio controlled models.
