Jennifer Bergstrom, EdD, CCC-SLP is an assistant professor and clinical educator for the Department of Speech Language Pathology at Salus University in Philadelphia, PA. She received her MS degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Rockhurst University with specialized training in neurodevelopmental disabilities through the University of Kansas LEND program (Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities). She earned her doctoral degree in Special Education with a concentration in autism spectrum disorder from Nova Southeastern University. Her primary areas of research and clinical interest are augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) for children and adults with developmental disabilities across the lifespan. She has presented locally, nationally, and internationally on topics related to ASD, AAC, and clinical education. In addition to her university work, Jennifer consults internationally with families on improving AAC support at home and school. She works collaboratively with international applied behavior analysts, speech-language professionals, and educators to enhance the use of effective AAC intervention.
