Renee Campbell – A Fond Farewell

Renee-Campbell-s-Retirement-Party-(6).jpgThings have changed in the 30 plus years Renee Campbell has been employed by The Eye Institute (TEI), and Renee was happy to change with it.

Since she was hired on June 12, 1989, she served as a Patient Service Representative, Medical Records Supervisor, Manager of both Medical Records and Pediatrics and most recently Manager of Patient Care Services.

She’s been through several renovations, an upgrade to an automated medical records system, and the opening of various satellite offices.  She has seen employees, faculty, and optometric students leave, and has welcomed many new faces along the years as well. The one constant has been the great  staff who work at TEI. Now it’s her turn to start a new chapter as she begins retirement.

Renee-Campbell-s-Retirement-Party-(17).jpg“Renee was the epitome of a successful career at Salus,” said John Gaal, vice president of Clinical Operations at Salus. “She started as a Medical Records Clerk, long before the advent of electronic medical records, and she steadily moved up the organization until she was managing the front desk/registration staff, the medical records section, the satellite clinics, and the Call Center. She had a tremendous amount of experience and knowledge about the organization and its staff."

“I’m looking forward to this new stage in my life,” Renee said. “I’ll miss my time here at TEI and most of all I’ll miss the people.” Upon retirement, Campbell plans on doing some traveling, starting new projects, helping her daughter and son-in-law with their new business startup and sleeping later.

She celebrated with a farewell party on Friday, June 28 at TEI where friends and colleagues gathered to say goodbye and wish her a happy retirement.
